Hi

I'm converting Roger Hardy's Vampire source file to Sea Vampire but to upload the result I need his permission -- the email address I have is out of date -- does anyone have something recent

I guess you're right -- it is an old file -- the same applies to the panel maker, Les Stone, he hasn't left his email anywhere as far as I can see, just FREEWARE only

It's rather amusing to read through the FSX forum, with it's heart-breaking story of "we have moving carriers - now they can pitch AND roll!"

We've had that all along - Collins HMS Ocean in a gentle swell in the English Channel (except that sky is just too blue .:a1310:)..

Sea Vampire

Haven't uploaded for quite some time -- but have just uploaded my conversion of Roger Hardy's Vampire F3 source file to Sea Vampire -- look up the tailpipe when starting up -- something Uncle Tgt taught me. You'll need a Sound file as I didn't include one to save weight.

Description: The first jet aircraft to land on an aircraft carrier -- a DH Vampire adapted for carrier landings -- flown by Lt Eric 'Winkle' Brown on 4th Dec 1945 to HMS Ocean.

Following my fixation on 'firsts' on aircraft carriers -- here's my impression of the Sea Meteor making its first landing on HMS illustrious in 1948

Morten's excellent Meteor repaints cut & pasted, then new markings slapped on.
 
Sea Vampire upgrade

have just uploaded a zip which adds the jet exhaust effect to this aircraft -- it comes on when you start the engine and cuts when you shut down

Thankyou sir for the reply ,I've noticed I have a few other planes that does this so maybe it's something about my install ,no biggie I fly VFR anyway.
