Sea plane modelling help

I've got a new seat plane in the works but have hit a couple of snags.

1) How do you get the floats to produce a wake? I see that the Sunderland and PBY etc. all have wakes from the floats when landing and taking off and it's not something in the .xdp file. I'm wondering if its to do with the aircraft.cfg?

2) It won't take off. It flies and lands ok but otherwise just sits there bobbing about. Something in that aircraft.cfg again?

@1: I can think of two things: the contact points in the aircraft.cfg for the floats (a value of '4' signifies floats - see te SDK for this) or perhaps adding emitters to the model in gmax?

@2: No idea, as I have nearly zero knowledge of air files. Something with enertia? Landplanes sometimes also seem to have difficulty to start rolling from a standstill. Have you tried copying or comparing an existing seaplane air file?

And you're making me curious: What have you got there, matey? 😁
 
OK, it's 00:00h here, I am tired and my brain has shut down: A Caspian Sea Monster? A Helldiver doesn't have floats (but could perhaps have used a few). Or is it that Martin Mariner boat that Foo Fighter is converting?
