Semi-OT - Buzzing Arc de Triomphe

Hi all, been a while. Here is the story of a wonderful fellow who, during the Nazi occupation of France, buzzed down the Champs-Elyseese at treetop height in a Beaufighter, draped a French flag on the Arc de Triomphe, and finished off the whole affair by riddling Gestapo HQ with 20mm shells. His medals & other memorabilia are being auctioned, kinda sad, isn't it?

Anyway, how's THAT for a mission?!

Thanks for posting that Tom, have never heard that story, talk about audacious! I noticed in his log book that they caught a bird in the starboard radiator.

Now which of our clever mission builders is going to recreate this one? :jump:
 
Not Owen, he'd drape the Beaufighter on the Arc :icon31: and use the tricolour as a makeshift parachute! :pop4:

June 12th a RAF pilot flew into Paris and attacked the bad guys..
Well this mission works very well using the facility Built by Prang, the Gestapo headquarters.. now a hobbit will re-do this in ETO 1.40
The mission is now in the ETO Multi-Package 2 being tested for release..

Here is how a hobbit does this, the proper way of course, heading to Paris!
What will now happen?? stay turned, same time, same channel..

I had a thought about the French Flag...The Arch is the buiding Par_10, if you changed the damage texture to show the flag draped over it insteasd of bullet holes then you could hit it with a bomb and have the flag displayed.
 
Yea this works Great! the mission is finished..
Now to attack the Germans in Paris..
Done in a hobbit fashion of course!!

( Pat need to talk to you about a French flag for the drop??
if possible to change the Arc de Triumph for this mission..)

And the Gestapo headquarters suffered greatly..Oh yea!
