Seversky A8V1 Dick Will Not Start Engine

The A8V1 Dick will not start its engine. This aircraft is the player aircraft in a PTO Pac Guadalcanal Japan & American Missions package. The player aircraft is the second aircraft on the runway. The first aircraft goes partly down the runway and stops.

I have the "I4_Shared" folder which is required. A "Simulation Loading" message appears several times but the aircraft will not start its engine. Anyone have any ideas to fix this?

Not sure if this is the problem but sometimes the starting torque is set too low. Go into that specific aircraft folder and open the aircraft.cfg file. Open it with note pad if you have not set the default utility. Look for the line of text below and change the value to 1 as I did, if that makes no difference then that was not the cause. Of course as the gentlemen above said you must manually iniate the start sequence. I assume you are doing that.

normalized_starter_torque = 0.015

normalized_starter_torque = 1

Aircraft.cfg Edit Did Not Work

I edited the aircraft.cfg file from Normalized_Starter_Torque=0.336 to = 1. When I press "E" to start engine nothing happens. The "Simulation Loading" message appears every 3-5 seconds. If I press "E" a second time I get "AutoStart Terminated".

Do you have any more ideas to fix?
