• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Yeah Billy Mays needs to get away from television for a bit. Honestly I don't know how those people can feel good about the crap they try to sell. I guess people will do anything for that big paycheck. :wavey:

billy mays was on good day sacramento a week or so ago....he was real subdued and soft spoken...the ho of the show says..whattsamateru? and he says..oh im allways like this..but stick a product infront of me and i go nuts..........i was kinda shocked at how shy n reserved he was
 
I just saw a commercial for a new "reality" show coming to the Discovery channel. Pitchmen, starring Billy Mays and Anthony Whatshisname...the pitchman for the painting thingies. That will be a show that I avoid like the plague.

Dogknot,....I couldn't agree with you more! Both these guys make me grab for the remote/mute button in a heart beat. Besides being TOTALLY obnoxious in style and listening to their 'carny pitch',....these schmoes almost make you want to toss a shoe at the TV screen.
I don't see how the advertiser big shots think these slicksters can sell the given products. It makes me just do the opposite. To make a mental note NEVER purchase the d**n item.

 
Every Billy Mays commercial I have ever seen has him saying in a very loud voice, "Billy Mays here!"

He says that as if we're supposed to know who the heck he is. No, and I won't buy anything he hawks either.

No matter how much some hate them; they do move products. The shamwow is a PAPER TOWEL!! They are popping up everywhere.
