Shooting In Binghamton, NY

Sounds as tho 12 or 13 are dead at the American Civic Center on Front St. This is a place for refugees to get help, so who would even think of this happening.

And I have relatives living there in Binghamton. I don't believe any work at this Civic Center, but it's still a shock to hear. My hometown, Unadilla, NY, is only 40 miles away up I-88. Even relatives from there travel work in Binghamton. Back when I was hauling cars out of Canada I delivered to the Olds dealer just down the street from this place. Shock is the only way to describe waht's going on.

5 shot, 4 dead 20 captive. Before I left they said that the 20 might be released.

I used to stomp around Binghamton.
 
12 + 1 dead.... gunman is the 13th. It's a sad day for all involved. My condolences to the victims and their families. And I hope the shooter went straight to H3ll.
 
As most of you know there was a shooting today in Pittsburgh. 3 officers reported dead. The gunner was arrested from what I understand. Supposedly he recently lost his job.

What is going on anymore? Have things in this country gone that bad? Something needs to change.

On the contrary Toasmaker, IE; Something needs to change = :hand: That's exactly what's happened. Nothing meant personal, but try for a moment to put yourself in those shoes who have no job, no home, no food. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

I was homeless in 2001 and 2006 so that doesn't hold water for me.You get up and get moving and find any job you can no matter what it is and work your way back up.I made 46K last year so anyone can do it if they have the drive.

I am from NY but don't live there anymore,I will say a prayer for all.
 
McDonalds is always hiring. People will always find a way to blame someone else, and take their anger out on others. Instead of putting on a suit, or slacks and a collared shirt, they pick up a gun. A shame really. People have no responsibility anymore. And please don't take this as me being antigun, i own a rifle and pistol. Ive been in manual labor all my life, and under no circumstances would I ever hurt my fellow man because of my own problems. I guess we're a dying breed.

Well said and absolutely right,McD's pays over $9 hr where I live and the cost of living is not bad.The people who do these shootings are 2 things,evil and cowards.Blaming others for there own mistakes.Gonna be hard to explain to the big man though.
