Show Markers

I've been trying to get Lamont Clark's Show Markers program working with my FSX install so I can identify tailhook positions and such. When I try to start Show Markers while FSX is running I get two repeat MS .NET Framework errors, then the fatal "Show Markers has encountered an error and needs to close" box and that's it. If anybody has this working and can help me resolve the .NET Framework errors I'd appreciate it. I tried to email Lamont but it got kicked back.
Would have been nice if MS had come up with a program like Aircraft Container Manager and included it with the FSX SDK, so you could actually see contact points, lights, etc. positioned on an aircraft's wire frame and make adjustments without time-consuming trial and error.

Tarps, Show markers will show you the position of something on a model, if you are hoping to fix the tailhook catch point in the visual model hook forget it, it was coincidence that the Spad hook worked in my screenshot fitted in the vis hook, hook attachment point governs whether it will work or not.

Many taildraggers will not catch without tipping over if the visual hook is used as a lot are mid fuselage and do not give enough leverage.

Time I think to stop wasting my time and suggest everyone use trikes.

Rich, thank you for your assistance. Actually I was interested in getting Show Markers to work so I could see other points besides the carrier-related stuff. You may be right about the tail draggers vs tricycle gear aircraft, there could be something unique to FSX that causes the landing problems. Or it could be I'm just not a good tailhooker! :icon_lol: In any event I certainly apreciate the time you've taken to exchange posts with me here and via PM. At least folks will know there's more to FSX carrier ops than the single page of instructions that come with Acceleration.
