Yikes that looks horrible, way too 'disco'; it doesn't suit the interior of a vintage aircraft at all. I hope it's switch off-able.

Not pretty but apparently realistic! It uses the same technology as the IL-18, with UV lights and instruments that light up; like this:

I wasn't crazy about the blue UV lights at first, but they're apparently very realistic. It's just another quirk in a very quirky bird.

Ah well, if its real, then thats the way it is. I still hope there's an on/OFF switch though. I've been looking at the daylight shots of the panel and VC again. What an extraordinary piece of work.
