Sibwings Antonov AN-2 and Cessna 177 Cardinal?

That's cool news indeed. I love the An-2... such a gawky, bizarre old bird. I've got fond memories of flying one in FS8 (or 9?) quite a bit.

An-2!!!!:jump: Recently I get all my favourites for FSX, can´t believe it!!!! (Taifun, Storch and now the An-2) With Sibwings quality this will be whhhoooooo!

I'm very excited about the AN-2! It's one of the most fascinating airplanes in the world.
I hope Sibwings will be able to model this behavior noted in the pilot's manual: If the engine quits in instrument conditions or at night, the pilot should pull the control column full aft (it won't stall) and keep the wings level. The leading-edge slats will snap out at about 64 km/h (40 mph), and when the airplane slows to a forward speed of about 40 km/h (25 mph), the airplane will sink at about a parachute descent rate until the aircraft hits the ground.
Stall speed? What's that? :wiggle:

the AN-2 is new though

Woo, that looks good! Two wings, radial engine, but damned big! I saw one of these fly at Old Warden on 1st May, incredible almost aerobatic climb performance, and a stall speed of about 24kts. Unfortunately I stopped filming just before it entered the climb, mainly because I thought it was gonna fall on us! Luckily this man didn't:

The AN-2 is very high on my list of favourite aircraft, great to see Sibwings are making one! :applause:

Hello everyone!

Google helps me to find this thread here :) Thank you all for kind words! An-2 in progress in deed, now we are working on it's VC. However Pitts in main focus this time.

Btw I have some difficulties looking for photos of An-2 cocpit with tumblers and gauges on English. If someone can help with it please welcome andrey@sibwings.com

Oh a Colt would be brilliant. That's a plane where if you need a pee you just fly real low and slow, get out, pick your tree and do your thing, then run after the plane and continue to fly it! Super slow and super fun!:icon_lol:

In reference to the thread "How slow is too slow", there were 47 who voted that from '0 to 150 mph' was too slow for them... :gameon:

Which means that you won't be eligible to get one when it's ready... :icon_lol:

Sorry... :gameoff:

Edit: Just couldn't resist... The door was set wide open for this pun...
