• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Sigh

Just reported it as 'Copyright Infringed' video games material ...... no good sighing about this sort of thing and doing nothing.

Nobody would do anything about a commercially released (forget just on fleaBay) CD jam packed full of downloads from Avsim (with the Avsim.diz file still present, along with all the readme files saying "do not include on CD, do not pay", yadda yadda) a couple of years back. You think things have changed?

Oh, and eBay won't do a thing. They love illegal software because lots of people buy it there, which means more people sell it there, which means more people use the site. Kerching!

Yes I did, just making sure others do it too otherwise it could be ignored.

The most certainly will! Note that the "Bidding has ended" with ZERO bids. That's how eBay will respond to reported copyright infringement.

Very nice to see Ebay take this action. I was thinking if they didn't, one of the freeware owners could just bid $100 on the item so nobody would bid on it. If they contested it, the response would simply be, "hey, that's my software they are selling illegally."

Scott.
