For those of us who follow Nascar as a second or third hobby, apparently as of midnight last night there is no longer Petty Enterprises as we've known it for the last 40 plus years..

They have merged their operations with Gillette / Everham for the 09 season..

Yep, it's about the almighty dollar. I hope they do better than in the past several years. I imagine that because they haven't done very well it was a neccessity to stay alive.
