Sikorski S-39: One family's tragedy

Following the trail of documents surrounding the S-39, I have discovered that the twice-ill-fated S-39 had a change of fortune and it's life took a decided upturn. After Bernard Preston was eaten by a gator and Alligator Air Lines ceased to exist, the plane was absorbed by the Collier County Sheriff Department, repainted and fitted with the needed supplies for use as a Search and Rescue plane. Two thirds of Collier County (Florida) is covered by the Everglades National Park, and the need for a fast Search and Rescue capability was filled by the S-39. The Collier County Sheriff Department used the S-39 to good avail for a number of years, before a federal law enforcement grant allowed them to purchase nimble helicopters and air boats.

After I uploaded the 4 Pack, I installed George's S-39B...the one painted like a freaker Giraffe, and found that the outrigger floats were actually mapped...so I yanked that texture file from that plane and used it to improve the looks of the floats on the paints in the 4 Pack. And I noticed a bit of a mapping glitch with some lettering on the Collier County Sheriff Search and Rescue paint. I will be uploading a FIX pack later today or tomorrow to give you all the files needed to get the planes into final form.

Does anyone have a link to BananaBob's prop for the S-39 (and S-38 if he did one for that plane as well). I went to Screenshot.com and can't find my way around for nothing.

A friend of mine, Dick Jackson, at Skyhaven Airport in Rochester, N.H. has a neat one he rebuilt about 4 years ago. He named it "Son of Igor".
 
Just uploaded the package of 4 skins to the SOH library...should be available tomorrow most likely. The package here is fully updated and in final form...the package I uploaded to Flightsim.com needs the update package to go with it...which I uploaded to Flightsim.com.

I did do something that I probably should not have done.....I updated my plane with BananaBob's prop...when I packed up the skins to upload here I totally brain farted and left BananaBob's prop texture in the folders and uploaded it in the pack....and I gave no credit for the texture in the read me file.

BananaBob, if you read this....this was totally unintentional and I meant in no way to break your copyright if I did so.

Now back to work on the S-38....can't do one without doing the other.
