Sim has Issues with cloud Layering...

They are… indeed… and i don’t think going bust with them, that that would have any effect to higher texture resolutions in FS2004… since the main core of the Game simply doesn’t support any higher… unless you go with FSX:SE or higher Plattforms…
I know but I was just checking; Wolgang Picheta in his Flusifix Manual recommends with respect to Texture_Bandwidth_Mult in the FS9 cfg a starting baseline value of 1200 and going up to possibly 1500. Moreover, I hope your TextureMaxLoad is atleast set to 10 if not higher --> again all this to reduce any performance bottlenecks when FS9 is optimized for visual acuity - high visual / graphical fidelity with a significant textures load, all naturally, with the proviso you have a fast CPU, fast GPU and memory apenty, which appears to be so

anyhow cheers! and my compliments on your wonderful screenshots as always

Indeed i think, the Texture_max_load and the Bandwith is only for faster loading of the textures but not for higher resolution…

Allthough, i could certainly try to boost my main texture folder to 4096x4096 and see if that would work…

If only the water textures would work in 4096 x 4096 that would be awesome… specially with the Zinertek Technology Textures or REX Overdrive textures… :D i highly doubt though :D

sorry but Texture_Max_Load and TextureMaxLoad are two different parameters; the latter ought to help with the blurries, and thinking logically, increasing the texture size resolution potentially increases the graphics load, and which necessarily means for said higher resolution tex, one needs more throughput or a bigger pipeline i.e. a higher Texture_Bandwidth_Mult and TextureMaxLoad...just my 2-cents!

Sure, but you also need a capable graphics card to bite that all… otherwhise your textures will end up blurry anyways… even if you boosted up your FS9.cfg parameters to the max…

If you don’t have a good enough graphics card, your parameter boosting is literaly useless… specially on a laptop like mine… :D which to be honest, is not really capable of a lot, performance whise… :D so, I’m still pretty limited there…

still your screenshots put most others to shame; really awesome what you have done with and what you get out of your setup - good stuff as always!

anyhow for FranceVFR sceneries, I found this document pertaining to FS2004 - perhaps useful: https://web.archive.org/web/20130414150850/http://www.francevfr.com/configuration.htm

Thanks! Appreciate these words a lot…

Secret behind that is:

1. DBS Walk & Follow as the Camera Program that i use to capture my Pictures with,
2. I’ve been a Professional Photographer for many years and a Plane Spotter as well…
(which means, i do know some of the most professional ways to take pictures).
3. Most of my Pictures are either real life inspired from personal real experiences at the Airports around the world, or from Spotterpicture Websites such as Jetphotos.com.

Also my Pictures from FS2004, are never been worked on, thei’re allways out of the box… no photoshop or editing or anything else).
To let my pictures look “As real as it gets” is allways my Goal! ( i might be a bit picky and ambitious about that though… considdering the limitations FS2004 brings)
