I have a video down loader add on for Firefox. Part of that add on is a internet site ranking doohickie. As I was pulling up SOH, I happened to glance at the ranking for SOH. According to this ranking doohickie (Ant.com) SOH is the 78,993rd most visited site on the internet. Now, I don't know how many sites there are on the internet...but I sure it is more than enough to make 78,993rd a very impressive thing.

I just looked it up...and according to WebPro News..in November 2008 there were 182,226,259 internet sites. Pingdom.com shows December 2009 number as 234 million.

That's very interesting. How do they count them, by domain names or are they counting the total number of pages? The way you count will give you drastically different numbers.
 
Regardless of how they count it, SOH is still way toward the top of the pile! We are the cherry on top of the sundae!

considering that much of the internet is porn, youtube, and wiki pages, yes, i'd say i agree about the cherry. or at least the hot fudge, anyhow :icon_lol:

Let's pretend, let's say there were only ten million real, true web pages up on the web. Even with that few, for SOH to be in the top 100,000 is still an honor and testament to a well run, helpful, friendly site.

Hmm, very interesting - doing that Alexa thing searching under Simulation-Flight, we come way down. Who was it said there were lies, damned lies, and statistics ??

Umm... does that come out to being in the top 3/100% ?

(78,993/234,000,000)x10=the percent right? 0.034 or 3/100

My head hurts.
