SimObjec Silly

TeaSea

SOH-CM-2014
This is silly because I can never remember how to clear it up.

Occasionally, installing a repaint or a different version of an aircraft I run into the conflict message about having multiple objects with the same title -- In this case after installing the Carenado C Skylane 182 RG II, and then installing the Orbx HD repaint.

I've cleared this up before....it's a fairly common issue, but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it.

Can someone out there help a brother out?

Hi TeaSea

You have to edit the aircraft.cfg so that each and every paint scheme has a unique title

Usually the title is just under the bracketed fltsim.x line

e.g.

[fltsim.0]
title=Lockheed Martin F-16AM RNLAF DEMO

make sure no other scheme has this title, simply adding a number at the end will do it, but normally a more descriptive title is best to keep it unique.

Thanks Jet!

Sure enough, the install for the HD texture had loaded twice. Quick edit took care of it.

Let's see how long I can remember.....

Like to thank you for that. You know, I see where occasionally members of the forum get into spats, but on the whole, whenever I have a question I get it answered ricky tick.

Value of the Site.
