Simple repaint resquest...

Hi;

Could someone please do a simple repaint for me? I don't have access to PhotoShop or any similar program. All I'm looking for is a repaint of Rick Piper's Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat in overall bright, fluorescent, day-glo orange with italicized registration marks C-IRNH in Hunter Green on either side of the rear tail boom forward of the empennage...

Thanks,

N.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I downloaded the Paint.net package and then tried to open some of the existing Foxbat paint scheme files i have on hand as there doesn't seem to be a paint kit available, but they came up blank (I have tried my hand at re-painting some years ago when running FS2004 and I had access to PhotoShop and managed to do a half decent repaint for Rancho JEN's Cessna C-150 taildragger, but that's been quite some time now). Worse, I've tried repeatedly to download the original Rick Piper A22 Foxbat from SimAviation and FlightSim and I get a warning from my Norton security package that the file is not safe, whereupon it automatically deletes it.

If anyone has the paint kit for Rick Piper's Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat/Valor I'd appreciate a copy so I can tinker here

Cheers,

N.

You will probably need Martin Wright's excellent DxtBmp to
first convert the textures to a 24 bit bmp image.
Then you should be able to open and edit them with Paint.net.

Neil,
I saw your post when I got home from work this evening. I hope this is day-glo orange enough for you! I added a white drop shadow to the registration number to help define it a bit. If you don't like it, it's easy enough to remove. PM me when you get a chance an I will forward the three files you need.

Mike

Thank you very, VERY much, Mike. Absolutely splendid!

I have downloaded the Paint.net and DTX conversion programs as I do want to get into repainting again, but for me it's an issue of time since I'm my mom's caregiver 24/7 and the thought of having to take weeks or months to learn a new skill set - and tear what little hair I have left out in the process - at this particular point is something I can't take on right now.

So thanks again for the suggestions and to Mike for the great skin!

Cheers,

N.

(BTW, I had posted some weeks ago that I though the graphics card on my six-year old Dell PC had died, but I appear to have been wrong. I can run FSX normally, but FS9, IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946, and Google Earth will not run. Don't ask me why, I haven't a clue...
