I can confirm problem with loads is right side only Alex.

with regard to wheel problem... I usually find if I have that problem with a part looking light on the unlit side and vice versa, that it is a geometry problem... not always easy to find exactly what it doesn't like about the geometry and fix it but that's usually the cause I find.

I do not have fond memories of life onboard a carrier, but it is fun to "relive" being on one. I can almost smell the JP-5 (which was ever present in the air, and you could taste it in the drinking water).

I remember a klaxon type horn would be sounded every time a elevator was about to move up or down.

The added image/effect of drainage ports on lower section of ship's hull is cool!

When on the Independence, we would throw garbage off designated sponsons. The one we used was right outside my workcenter, the VA-15 AME shop, located port side, forward of the hangar bay. On one occasion, three guys were tossing garbage and a rogue wave washed them overboard. One of them hit his head on the side of the sponson, was knocked unconscious and drowned. The other two per picked up by the rescue helo. NC

Guys, here is a website worth checking for the phanatics. It has been invaluable to our research in order to get the exteriors and cockpits of the various F-4B/N variants right. This guy was working in USAF F-4C/Ds and has done a great job documenting the differences. He has included the full F-4B EW upgrade program, as well as F-4C/D Wild Weasel information and British Phantom differences.

After some last second fixes and a delay, we are ready to sent 0.98 release candidate for final testing. 0.98 will support FSX:A, FSX:Steam and P3Dv2. We're holding back with v3 as we have some problems with the ADIs in there.

Meanwhile, work is going on for the F-4N. Dave previewed the external models some weeks ago, so here are some WIP shots of the cockpits.

F-4B APR-24: Same cockpit as the one you have but with RHAW equipment. This modification was done when the US Navy was experimenting with RHAW equipment and went through APR-24, 27, 25 before settling on the last one.


Late F-4B/N Cockpit: some different instrumentation, Mk.H7 seats, RHAW equipment, countermeasure control panel in the rear cockpit, Datalink panels (will not be operational), ALQ-126 "brows" on the intakes (late F-4Ns)

This essentially means three cockpit configurations (B, APR-24, Late B/N) and four cockpits -if we account for the cosmetic "brows" on the late F-4N intakes.

Here are some Work-in-Progress shots of the F-4N front cockpit, Mk. H7 seat and the fully upgraded rear cockpit of the late F-4B/Ns. There are some bits and pieces missing still, but it will be done and sent for texturing the following days. Enjoy!
