Got some of my own from RAF Bentwaters lol, Fictional of course!
What a bird though!! Tim you really do outdo payware at times mate!
and the speed of your developement, I consider myself a connoisseur of Fde's especially accurate ones, so this brings a new one to us Razbam users and I used to just fly the AD1W lol!

I plopped-in the sound folder from the A2A Jug, and it seems to work very nicely indeed. For any who have that P-47 and who're looking for a sound pack for Piglet's Spad, this one'll certainly do until maybe Obio whomps one up some day.:icon_lol:

HG22 , i went the other way and used the 377 sound set , on your recommendation i will try the Jug pack be interesting to compare .:running:

I've changed the brakes to a lower setting of 0.48 for a first test so I might change that setting.

Great aircraft Piglet, a history to it. :guinness:
 
Tim, another quality plane. I'm really liking what you did with the loadout. Most excellent. The flying behaviour was a bit odd but a friend of mine worked on that so I am more than happy now.

R3350 Sounds

Judging by the file size, I think it may be a 4-engine R3350 sound pack.
In any event; it sounds pretty good...I must say!!!

Edit: After trying out (read listening) to the R3350 sounds it sounds more like a connie then a spad.

I like the plane, but currently have no instruments, the panel cfg. shows a set of dedicated instruments for this plane so guess I will have to go on a search and destroy mission to find them.

Ideally I would like a wider cockpit view, a common complaint I have in FSX. Another issue is landing on the Nimitz, no matter how appropriate an approach/over the deck speed I land at, catching a wire the plane will stand on it's nose and register a crash.

There's a cab file for the gauges in the aircraft's folder. They need to be placed in the main gauges folder or in the aircraft's panel folder.

they are not the correct figures
i just copied and pasted them from another ac
but i believe for carrier ops they need to be configured for fsx

It may be coded in the mdl file itself if they're not in the cfg. If they are entries in the cfg will overwrite them, although it's worth bearing in mind the correct technique for landing a taildragger on a carrier is to be about 5 kts above the stall in a nose high attitude when you catch the wire, otherwise the nose gets too low. There're a lot of pictures of WW2 carrier planes getting it wrong and nosing forwards. Especially Seafires....
 
Tim: Thanks for such a beautiful model, I can find only one inaccuracy. The rust in the cockpit would NEVER had been present in a USN aircraft. I strongly suspect that it would not have been there in a USAF SPAD either. Anyone seeing the first sign of rust like this would have downed the aircraft to remove the panel and do a complete inspection to see the extent of the structural problem. The plane captain assigned to this aircraft would have never permitted it to get this decrepid in the first place - after all, it was HIS aircraft. Please give us a VC without the rust - it really is inaccurate. Bill
