When Michael over ar MC DESIGNS Created this SKYTOP. he did a fabulous job.This my home strip..BUT ,and always will a but..the Trees on the South end a bit much..Reality is there ,its like a carrier take off or landing.No Obstructions .BUT its not nice to criticize a great gift.And would never!..The other day I did an addon, some scenery from Justin..his TOPSIM..the Mid Atlantic piece...And LO AND BEHOLD!..The restructured terrain shows NO TREES!..As REAL AS IT CAN GET..needless to say I WERE PLEASED. Strip and plane!..Some others here liked this Strip and The C-150 Raptor....I suggest for those few,this will give you a far more real experience there..Thnx guys






 
Hi , think Falcon can help you.....The C-150 RAPTOR in the files...as I Tried to explain it came to life as a accurate strip with the Justin addon scenery enhancing Michaels.SKYTOP ..of course all unintended!...thnx


 
Hard as I try, I hardly understand what you are telling here. There is some scenery that evens out problems you had with ny03? And the scenery you're talking about is in the download of the C-150 RAPTOR?

It puzzles me. Maybe I'm getting too old??

We All are, some More than Others.Now listen up! If you want SKYTOP?? Ask Falcon.. he has a copy,its not, I think in the Lib....If You want that C-150 Paint called RAPTOR?? Thats in the file......again now the SKYTOP Scenery, as it is has trees at the end of the runway. THATS Not Real .PER CHANCE I added Justins Scenery,and for what ever reason it altered the overall scenery, Thus Removing the obstruction Trees..I Thought That was GREAT.A GIFT ! UNINTENDED! WOW! i Wanted to tell others .As this is an approximation my former home ,Plane and all Made by great guys and custom effort...I LIKE IT..now if you do?? Well have fun my friend...Its in ROSCOE NY..CATSKILL MTS

I have no idea who "Justin" is really so where that comes in is a mystery to me as well. "Vin" is correct that the trees are in the way at one end of the airfield. But I have too many things going on in my life to mess with trying to eliminate them. I have also tried using the French_VFR Cessna 150 out of that airfield and it's near impossible to get off the ground in such a short distance without removing 60% of the fuel and reducing the pilots weight to 170lbs or lower. Anything more than that or using any flap setting and I end up in the trees at the far end without ever getting off the ground. I gave up, lol

By coincidence, Justin Tyme is the brother of one of my wife's college girlfriends.
 
If you like these short-field strips in challenging locations, go over to Simviation and get the Nepal Airports Scenery v5.4 under the FSX_Scenery tab. It's only 19MB in size, about 1/3 the size of this and you get 12 new airports and 20 with altitude corrections.

Putting together what Napacon and Navy Chief are saying, I googled "topo sim mid atlantic" and came up with this result; I guess this is the other scenery Napacon is referring to:

Ah, great! Thanks Falcon for the link! Much appreciated! And thanks napacon for bringing this to my attention! I like the scenery as it is, a real challenge! Planned a flight from White Birch to Skytop with a LHC Bush Pacer and flew it. Lovely! Having a great time!

GREAT CEES..Hope you have Falcons WHITE BIRCH as well as his DOWNSVILLE and the all SUBURB WORKS by Falcon.he did others in this area..As the SUSSEX NJ MONUMENT....A Trip To his OLD RHINEBECK GREAT ALSO..Inquire for them Lots of fun...HAPPY LANDINGS
