With my poor vision, I kinda need aircraft labels turned on, but I don't need such huge, lengthy strings of text. Just an '@' sign would do. Is there a config file I could dig into to cut back on the length of the labels?

The labels are linked to the aircraft folder names by a visual dll module, not the CFS2.cfg. The shorter the folder name, the shorter the label.

Yeah, I knew about that part. I was hoping there's a workaround or some utility offering an alternative. Thanks, though.
