• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

With the Quickie project done it's time to get back to the Thorp. There is a lot to be done with it in terms of streamlining not only the work flow, but also the performance in-sim. Much of what I learned doing the Quickie will be incorporated into the Thorp. Right now I am planning on upgrading to true 3d gauges, and a very re-paintable plane that will include the ability to detail the interior to a level I have not done on previous models.

The process will take time. I will of course provide updates when progress is made. You guys know me well enough by now to know that I am anal on detail, and I tend to push Gmax to it's limit :d

I am anal on detail
Don't get hemerroids! You can get too much detail, and FPS can suffer. In which, like 'roids, no one wants!
But then again, how much detail can a Thorp 18 have?
Let us know how the 3D gauges go, or don't...
