What are these intruders' intentions? In less technical language... what is it that you are blocking... what do they actually do... etc.
When I read your reports... it is "Greek to me"... lol
It would be nice if you can put it also in common parlance so we "ignoramus" folks
can share on what appears to be good news... like successful interceptions..

well they are trying to get in the admin part of the server, via, mail, ftp, cpanel and the main of the server to take command, and in most cases it is the governments doing this, it seems legal for them to do this, all they say is prove it, lol
if they get command of it then they launch attacks within our country and beyond.

now this would stop if they had to paid $100 USD for every time I catch them.
If I try to do this to them, well I would either go to jail or get a good payin' job for the government.

I am posting the IP's to maybe reach out to the good guys so they can know what IP's to watch and block.

When I turn 65 in 2 years I am gonna retire and turn off the internet.

Now it makes sense to me... Just one more question... do they do these intrusion attempts are carried out only on organizational servers?
Should individuals home users worry about being "hi-jacked" in this manner?

anyone who has an IP can get this type of hits,... attempts,... you just don't know it is happening until it is gone, done.
I have the software on the server to detect & defend against this and have very strong passwords.
Also I use a linux server, not windows. updated daily.
 
Here is a USA IP which hits me often, look at the name, secure server, this is bull**** it is the USA Government trying to hack me.
(US/United States/ip-192-169-236-161.ip.secureserver.net)
look at the IP if you recall everyone's local router IP is 192.168.0.1 their IP is one # off, 192.169.236.161 it belongs to the US Government.

I just did a quick lookup and it traces to the IP of a business (or their server is hosted in) Scottsdale, AZ. I would have expected more faith in the US Government on a site like this.
The world is not out to get you, and most address likely resolve to either individual users or are via engines that are indiscriminately sweeping.

That smells like our "friends" of the now defunct WoS and Wicked Friends. Read: Mr. Fergusson, aka "the Boss". A very shady character indeed!
