My mistake. I thought you were showing some pictires of my old Company, the United Shoe Machinery Corp. (USMC) not a picture of some jarheads.

Now Mud ... try not to sink to the same level ... please.

:ernae:

Thanks for the shots Panther ... :)

Why can't I? Other people do all the time and get away with it?:engel016: Like it says.......I'd rather be a smart ass than a dumb ****!! LOL
PS Panther, thank you for the pictures!! It's nice to see some positive re-enforcement for the people that pay the price in blood for our freedom! Semper Fi

Regardless of which branch of today's Military you belong/belonged to: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guards- all abide to a "code" and within each specific code, lies respect. Respect should be shown on every level at every time!!

I can never understand why one branch has to feel superior to another. They all compliment each other and serve one purpose- defend & protect their country.

I'm just grateful and thankful for all military men and women out there right now, defending and protecting all of us! The same goes for our retired military folks. :medals:

I just think it's completely disrespectful to bash any of the military branches. We need ALL of them and in my eyes, one is just as important as the other.

Ok I'm done :wiggle:

Oh and P.? I looooooove the pictures !!

There's just something about a man in uniform that makes my heart beat just a tad faster

Well Cloud9Gal said I could not agree more IMHO there is NO ONE in our society we should respect more than those who choose to serve - that includes all branches of Military Service. We may not always like the missions they have to do, but remember the Military serve the elected governmet, the politicans assign the mission the services follow their orders.

One thing you all need to understand about me, if you care, is that I bleed US Navy blue! My family has a decades long Naval tradition. We have had a corpsmen, battleship sailor, destroyer, submarine service, and four Marines and more in my family. I'm proud of that, I'm proud to be a Marine. It's not often you find people in life you are willing to fight and die for; 99.9% of those people for me have been Marines. I consider all Marines to be my brothers....and I don't care who understands that or not; I defend my family.

Like I've said around here again and again, there isn't a branch of service I don't respect. All veteran's have my admiration, I know what it costs to defend freedom. It's all in good fun that we pick on each other. When push comes to shove we join together and fight the enemy as one. I've been there and done that.

Some people/person just can't seem to keep the negative comments to themselfs and it gets old at times!:engel016::icon_lol:

Well Mud, it was one of your own who made the comment. Not Snuffy!

and you think I don't know that? I don't think I was blaming Snuffy for anything. If anything I trying to use humor to defuse the stituation, if there was one?

back to Panthers post please.

those are great looking pics..proud men..but i dont get the meaning? whats happening in the pics?..why are they there? what are they doing?..

and as far as the army/navy/marine/air force bickering..been going on since day one ..im not a vetran but even i know it happens and understand it and respect it..when i was in the fire department we had "rivalries" with the nieghboring FDs..down right nasty stuff could happen..yet if a home or business was on fire you bet your silver dollar we worked together like brothers and sisters ,laughed/joked,at times cried together...then when the emergincy was over it was back to the bickering and fighting...it was all in good fun

Not too sure since I'm USAF & I arrived at the tail-end of it....:d
That being said, it appeared to me that it was some type of honor/rite of passage for the 2Lt that was there....

One thing that yall need to keep in mind about the Navy and the Marines. It's kind of like a sibling rivalry. Us squids rag on the jarheads and they return the favor. Nothing serious is ever meant by it, just having fun at each other's expense. It's been going on as long as there's been a Marine Corps and Navy. I expect it'll go on as long as they do.

Semper Fi my Marine brothers!

In about and hour and 15 minutes I am delivering my only son to the Marines. He should be in sunny San Diego in 24 hours. If he doesn't get here soon he is leaving hungry. The brats are done already!

My oldest daughter is in Iraq. Her husband is in Afghanistan, and another son in law just left last week for Iraq. Should be an interesting year.

What a poignant moment that has to be for you. You must be both sad and proud at the same time.

yes Maam!
and actually i see no Royal AF, Navy, Marines there
yup i know there is competition in all services in all countries
but in my eyes they are all equal
but a little healthy competition never hurts anyone
and probably makes it all better
just my opinion
