After I had modified one of Sopwith's old P-400 skins to use Allen's new P-39 cockpit model, I just couldn't help myself...
:sheep:
I did a follow on skin (same a/c, after it's transfer to 80th FS)
then a new template from the stock skin, so I could work on some 8th FG skins

"Sunsetter" 35th FS, May 42, JUL 42 & OCT 42
Cyclone Davis's first P-400

...more to follow ;)

Don't you ever sleep?

Hi Uncle Tgt,

The new skins are particularly good and your work is as ever excellent.

Please keep on,keeping on.

Nice Uncle!

I like the wear and tear, it gives the feel of an aircraft that's been through a lot. :pop4:

And always love the tiger mouths!

UncleTgt,

This is outstanding, I will approve them immediately when they are ready. :mixedsmi:

P.S. - I weathered the storm just fine! (I only lost power for about ten hours...so last night was BBQ) :salute:

Way to go UT - Super pics!

I love the 39 and fly it all the time. Allen's new version of the stocker is very nice and your new skins look great on it. Just saved two of your pics for my CFS2 screensaver. I like the Obio and SimTech versions too, and fly them often. So, quite by accident I made a little discovery just now. Your new skins seem to work quite nicely with OBIO's bird. I wasn't paying close enough attention and dropped a set of your new skins in the OBIO P-39 by mistake. I can't see any problem. These skins look great on either Allen's or OBIO's stockers.

Unable to find Allen's P-39

Hi UncleTgt! :wavey:

Outstanding job as usual, thank you very much!

Since I hurt my right wrist falling from a ladder in mid-October, I couldn't use my pc for a couple of weeks.
The ladder feet sunk sideways in the ground softened by recent rainfalls, I fell back but my undercarraige did not extend, so I landed all the weight of my body on the right hand. Thank God nothing was broken, but tapping on the keyboard was painful and I still have some problems if I keep my right wrist in certain postures for a long time.

I missed keeping track of new releases for a good three weeks. Today, as soon as I read your repaints are for Allen's stock P-39D rework, I looked among CFS2 Addon aircrafts library new relases but I do not see Allen's work under any category.

May I ask where it's loaded so that I can d/l it together with your new skins?

Thank you!
KH

Hi Kelti,

Not very cat-like then?
:icon_lol:

These repaints also work with the B24 guy's overhailed stocker. He fixed a LOD texture problem & incorporated Allen's VC view mods into this model. The updated aircraft is under "The B24 Guy" as author. Here is the shortcut

During your enforced absence, I also released some repaints for Allens G4M1 Betty - you have a lot of catching up to do!

Ta, mate!

I guess so, since I am very busy catching with all the chores I needed to before the cold season strikes, I still do not spend much time on my pc! I am sorry I replied a week later, but this is how things go here at the moment. :wavey:

Cheers!

I re-did the OHs (But for the B-24) before they were re-uploaded to the current Library. All past fixes/updates by The B24 Guy applied if needed and panels updated to work on Windows 7 computers if needed as well as my and other users fixes/updates have been added.

This is why my P-39D update can't be found as it has been put into the OH P-39D.

Maybe one more.

Still a WIP, but this "nightfighter" style scheme intrigues me. a/c is mount of Major Norm "Coach" Morris, OC 35th FS around the time of Milne Bay, fall '42.
