Its not security its content

Go to Tools / Options / Content

Make sure that Enable Javascript and Enable Java are both checked.

Besides Enable Javascript in the advanced button make sure Move or resize windows is checked and Disable or replace context menus needs checked.

Those are how mine are set.

now restart the browser and you should be good to go.

Boy there are not that many more settings to choose from.

The only thing left is privacy

I only have Accept cookies from sites and Accept 3rd party cookies checked.

Those do not appear to block functions you are missing.

I tried earlier and I lost the ability to manage attachments when I removed javascript and java.

I am not sure what else it could be at this point.
 
Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely) I thank you for your patience and assistance, and am pleased to inform you that, as mysteriously as it arrived, my wee problem has now disappeared. :monkies:

All is back to normality, if such a word can ever be applied to the Outhouse.

well it keeps asking me to update to 3.5
but i refuse
seems the small updates i dont get a choice
