Beautiful screenshots and FS aircraft! You certainly have a good collection of some of the most iconic military aircraft!

FS9 sure was nice! I really do like this repaint and remember flying it alot......Does the AH Corsair fly in FSX? If not I'd sure love to see this repaint done for the Aircraft Factory Corsair.

I also wish the bubbletop P-47 was good in FSX too.

I don't think I ever tried the AH Corsairs in FSX. I think the F4U-1 that is currently being developed for FS9 and FSX is going to be off the charts. A lot of time is being spent on getting it as close as possible to the real thing.

That P-47 looks like Gnoopey's P-47M. That was a really good freeware FS9 Thunderbolt.

That P-47D is actually the payware A2A "WOP" P-47, and I think illustrates the need to have a completely new bubble-top P-47 made from the ground up. I do however have it in FSX, and it stills works quite well.

And on the subject of the Corsair, an unfortunate side-affect of how the materials on the FSX 'Aircraft Factory' Corsair are made, you simply cannot recreate the same highly accurate and authentic 1945 glossy-blue as I did on the AH Corsairs. I believe Jan Kees made a similar repaint for it, but due to the alpha channel restrictions in the aircraft's built-in mesh, it wasn't possible to achieve the gloss that there should be. And, as far as I know, the AH Corsairs do show up okay in FSX, though I seem to recall many of the gauges do not.

Another old screenshot of the WOP P-47D in FSX.

And I would love to make, or see made, one of these for FSX.

LOL.....I sure hope WBS is looking to the Corsair arena of aircraft....especially a late -5 type......:salute:

Nice shots there John! Love the Corsair shots!

Yes, the AH Corsairs do well in FSX, with some small issues. The lovely brute force of the the F2G was reason enough to try them in them sim. The A2A is of course the definitive FSX Corsair, but I'm sure there would be takers for a some AU-1, '7 and some of those postwar versions.

I'd love a bubble-top P-47 in FSX. I never bought WOP in FS9, so I know of no options. Maybe Gnoopy's P-47? Should try that some day.

Anwyay - thanks for sharing.

That shot of the Memphis Belle kind of reminds me of this original photo of the 'Belle', though the particular 'Belle' in the screenshot I took is a repaint I made of the Geneseo-based movie 'copy'.
