Superb.. I was thinking on the same. More on the classic era. The Taifun has great lines.
 
This is breathtaking modelling work!

The TAIFUN (and the upcomming Storch) really make my simmers-heart jump with joy. I love the vintage german paint-scemes and the vc texturing is excellent, cou can almost feel the interior fabric...:applause:

Quick question, the numbers overlayed with the imperial (?) digits, is that a real feature of the plane or so us that dont understand the metric system can still fly it? :icon_lol:

With the Fw190 we provided conversion charts in the manual but I think the switchable stickers are more intuitive to use for those who are used to knots, feet and inches of mercury.
 
I was watching Von Ryan's Express last night. This looks like the same kind of plane they used to stop the train with the rocket attacks.

LOL yeah, almost.
The 108 has quite an impressive low speed handling for that kind of aircraft with a flaps up stall speed of 54 knots and flaps down stall speed of about 49 knots.

Just glorious, Mathias! I was looking over shot #2 with envy when I thought what's that crappy stuff in the background? and then it came to me - it's the default FSX scenery. The Taifun is showing up FSX, I fear... :ernae:
 
145 knots cruise, 161 knots max, and just below 50 knots stall speed with flaps down, Ryan.
Automatic leading edge slats give it an extremely good low speed handling.
1100lbs payload means you can throw in 4 people inclusive pilot without worrying about cutting fuel load or baggage.
Folding wings enable it to get stored away in your carport over the winter. :)
Gas price is pretty low, literally zero. :)
 
Looks great, Mathias. Sure, it was slower than the 109 -- but a lot more comfortable too!

Oh, you miss out on a lot of inventions and history if you leave out German aviation,
for instance "ILS" approaches with a decision height below 50 meters three decades
before became practice in modern commercial aviation
But that's something to be implemented into our Bf110. :)

It's not that I'm not interested.

But so far mostly military planes have been developed in FSX, and I simply will not fly with swastikas, even in FSX.
When you remove them on the other hand, it's not "original" anymore...

So I'm very please to see a nice German civilian plane in development ;-)
