Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Great shots!

You cannot beat the overal atmosphere as seen on the pics above! The good days of racing, when men had hair on their chest:cool:

Hard to believe how dangerous that place was in those days... Look at all the people behind the hay bales and the very low and basically useless guard rail..
From a current perspective it´s unbelievable how racing changed concerning safety. I recently found this clip and I used to watch this when it was on, but can hardly look at it today: those people at/on the track give me the creeps...

Those Ferrari-dinner and icecream shots are priceless!!!

Regards
Alex

And what do you think this lot would fetch at auction today ? $100m ???

Two Ferrari's 250TRI/61 (#26 and race winner #23), A Dino 246S (#35), a dino 246 SP (#34) and a Dino 248 SP (#36), together with a pair of 250 SWB you will get close to that number at least. If the SWB's are both the lightweight versions even more! The 250 GTO that the NART also entered isn't even in this photo....
