Some personal issues have been holding me back...

Good morning,

I'm sure you've noticed that my presence here lately has been greatly diminished. My father has been in the hospital for the last few days...he had bronchitis and was developing pneumonia, but mom forced him to go to the hospital, and they caught it in time. He's recovering, and in good spirits. I think he'll be released either Wednesday or Thursday. Unfortunately, my dad's condition is slowly deteriorating, but we're going to get him on an exercise program to build up his lungs as much as possible.

For the last week, I've been playing father to my kids and visiting my dad as much as possible, so I've been doing the bare essentials here at SOH, basically approving files and nothing else. That's not to say I haven't missed you. I'm really getting a bad itch to work on CFS2 again, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am that I'll now have new vehicles, buildings, lighthouses, and flak guns to work with.

Keep up the good work, I'll be back on the horse soon. Right now, my family and my faith have to come first.

Herr Dirt - I did get your message about Kaberle, Kelly, and Peverley. We have much to discuss!

Thanks,

Glad to read you are okay Rami-san. I was beginning to worry about you. Sorry to read about your Dad... I hope he gets well soon. Hang in there ole buddy! :salute:

I'm still plodding away on my USS Essex campaign. I have 43 missions finished and flight tested.

Well folks,

It turns out he REALLY waited to long, he had also started to develop congestive heart failure, so now he will be at risk for that as well. Sigh...

IF the patient is fairly strong-willed, modern medical tactics can keep him doing with diuretics for YEARS, Drew - My old business partner has been dealing with CHF for 15 years now, and the meds have helped him a bunch.

Keep the faith !

Damn... all us older folks tend to wait too long. We just can't recover like we used to. I almost waited too long with my heart, my Dad did with his gall bladder...

I will keep your father in my prayers Drew.

Family comes first Drew! I have a father (85!) that always waited too long before going to the doctor. Sigh........

Hi again,

Thanks for the support...and yes, he's certainly a tough ol' bird.

I agree, family has to come first. I believe God makes the decisions in these things, but you should spend the time you have now because you can't get it back later. We'll be here to welcome you back when things are more under control.

I am the patriarch in my family now. ( :icon_eek: now that's a really scary thought !!) All the old folks are gone, though most made it into their 80's.

Rami,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hang in there bud you know your friends are here for you.

This is only a game.

Take care of your family, they are the most important thing.

Hope everything works out.

Don't worry Rami!

Family comes first and foremost!

Best wishes for your dad's prompt recovery.

Cheers!
