Thanks guys, glad you like them, im usinga Fujifilm HS10, ive only had it 8 months but im not to happy with it, it eats AA batteries like i eat chocolat chip cookies, the mauel states that its good for 200 shots under normal conditions, but im only getting 60 max with all settings at minimum, scince buying ive been told by camara experts to stay clear of AA power'd DSLR's, oh well, i do like the picture quality anyway,
cheers ian

Damn the AA's, the shots are great ! :icon_lol:

By the way, the pitot tube on that Mig-21 wasn't bent last time I shot it ! :icon_lol::icon_lol:

Are you using alkaline batteries or NiMH ones? Digital cameras are known to be heavy on alkaline batteries as they have a high current draw. Re-chargeable NiMH or lithium ion (Li-ion) ones are the way to go.

Wonderful shots, Ian. And I thought the closest I'd ever get to Duxford was my support for the AAMB! Thanks so much.

Thanks Tako, i have been using alkaline, i had some rechargable's but there quite old and there performance are not much better, but some new ones may change that, never heard of Li-ion type but i'll have to look into them, thanks for the reply.
cheers ian

If your rechargeable batteries are old there is a good chance they are Ni-Cad and not NiMH and there is a huge difference between the two types (you need NiMH for digital cameras). You cannot use an old Ni-Cad charger to recharge NiMH batteries as the charging characteristics are totally different although some of the newer NiMH chargers will also charge Ni-Cads.

Li-ion is the short form of Lithium Ion and they are the types of batteries found in many cell phones, tablets and laptops although they are being replaced by Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) in many newer models. Li-Po batteries are also used a lot in electric RC aircraft as they are high capacity but very light weight however care must be used when recharging as they can easily burst into flame if charged incorrectly.

This site is a goldmine of information on batteries and their care:
