If I could own a real one, I'd probably paint it in a Fury or Gladiator type theme - so I see where Rick's going with this - I say "very clever and cool".

I'm loosely basing it on a WWI scheme...which had it as depicted here...however I'm not an expert on WWI, or even an amateur of this era of aircraft...

Looks great, but I can't help but picture him leading a squadron of spitfires into battle with the other pilots laughing their butts off, just saying.

Added some weathering...the Roundels on the wings...changed the yellow out for light grey, and finally added the khaki underwings...
