Need some help here. I want to put Lawdogs P40 sounds in my P40E by k&m.The P40 uses the sound from the A6m2 zero. In the sound folder of the P40 there is only one file I have downloaded other sound files, but not with sound files that were aliased to another plane. I dont want to get into trouble:isadizzy:

First make a copy of the P40 folder and save it some where, maybe even to your documents files. Open the P40 folder and change the name of the P40 sound folder to: sound.org or delete it all together. Now put the new sound folder that says sound into the P40. If the new foldrer says anything other than sound than change the name to sound and drop it into the P40 folder. It sounds like you know your way around the inside of the game folders so I don't think you will have any trouble here. don

The most common files I found aliased to for ad-on planes is the Zero and Corsair, the twin engines being aliased to the P-38. These AC are using the sound files in your CFS2 master sounds folder for the Zero and Corsair in the game. Lawdog and Obio have pproduced some engine sound files that are first class and downloadable here at the Outhouse, some in single and twin configurations.

You can save your original sound.cfg, I usually just unzip and copy the new engine sounds over into the sound folder of the given aircraft. Be sure to use the new sound.cfg that comes with the new sound set.
