Yes yes sound can be dangerous, going deaf from listening to REALLY loud music, not waering headsets when flying ( I wear a noise canceling set BTW, one of the best investments I have ever made!), and of course a myriad of other deafing ways to destroy your hearing...
...but this? The 'digital dosing' or what ever a 'bad' thing? I thought people listen to music sometimes to feel good....
"Binaural sound, first discovered in 1839 by
Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, indeed has a profound impact on brain waves. However, in the past this impact has shown to be generally positive, with side effects such as reduced anxiety and pain relief."
.....Oh right yeah, like that really sounds like a bad thing!
I love listening to Staind's "Its been a while", or Creed's "Faceless-man" Always makes me feel 'high'. Then again so goes pushing the throttle wide open on take off in a C-172 or BE-95.
What next? Are they going to ban anything that gives a good old adrenaline rush? Or better yet, will they not allow young people to date because of the good feeling it may cause? Because of course those things could lead to drugs!
My comment to those politicians is, clam up, GTHO, (Get the heck out), and get a freaking life!
Now I'm off to blast some Zekes and Listen to some Rise Against, and I'm planning on getting an adrenaline rush!
