Souped up Lockheed...

If you have the latest FDE update of our lady and are not using the "other" sim you might want to look into the very fancy Engine Auto start we were kindly permitted by Sir Tom Gibson to use.
It not only starts in the correct 3421 sequence but it also does it with a proper slow blade count before igniting.
I know doing it manually is more fun....but I find myself watching the spectacle from spot view at least once on every flight :D :D

Have you got a link to that? I looked for any updates to the L749 on Flightsim and only found the model update.

Nevermind - found it.:jump:

I've flown both the Howard and the L749-Connie a lot, and enjoy both of them. I found that opening the cowl flaps full and throttle down with wing flaps extended, helps to slow the Howard a little bit during decent. It still wants to decend pretty fast, but once level, it will slow down enough for landing. I usually try to decend a little earlier to allow for that short level flight time. I also try to follow the checklist pretty closely too. Personally, since I use pedals, I left the tail wheel free wheeling, and didn't set it to steerable with the rudder. It makes it more realistic. I do the same for my DC-3s too. Using the checklists on the L749 helps with the start up too.
