The Catalog for the Source File Archive has been updated from the last edtion in May, and can be downloaded in PDF format using this link:

The Source File Archive now contains close to 500 FSDS and Gmax source files.

Thanks, Merlin. A lot of work, but it keeps getting better.

The beauty of source files is that they can be used to produce model files for virtually any flight sim. :ernae:

All designers are welcome to add their source files to the archive AND to specify the conditions of sharing/access to these files. The files can also be removed from the archive whenever desired. You retain control over the file at all times. This is possible because the archive is an offline resource, not web-based.

The purpose of the archive is to preserve the untold hours of labor involved in developing source files. No matter how careful most developers are, much work is lost each year due to crashes and/or designers moving on to other interests.
