Special Server Maintenance
Just when you think you have everything running some what better...
You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.
- November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
- November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
- November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
- November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.
If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.
To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

Not according to Jimmie! In an interview with the SPEED guys, he said his car was way too loose, that he wanted to go for the win, but couldn't make his car work, and that he was pretty disgusted with a 6th place finish. That sounds more like the Jimmie Johnson I've seen up to this point...

I've no doubt Jimmy wanted to go for more as that is his favorite track but he didn't risk anything because he knew he didn't have the car. Do you risk more when there is no Cup on the line? I think so. Take what you can get every race and don't risk a wreck when the Cup matters most. That's what Jimmy and Chad are doing. Nobody will remember who won Lowe's fall race 10 years from now but they will remember who won the cup.

Took a lot of risks tonight trying to get as many points as I could on the 16 and trying to hang with that 31 and get by him. Damn near threw it away a couple times. Early in the race we had some pretty big moments as well. "

In today's NASCAR Jimmy's my guy Panther right from the days when he was sleeping on Ron Hornaday's couch (like Kevin Harvick did) to today. Jimmy was wild when he raced motocross but ever since crashing his truck in the Baja 1000 and waiting for rescuers he takes no unnecessary risks. Drives smart and measured that's what I like about him - basically a Silver Fox mentality. he ain't the showiest but he gets it done. I don't think he was out of control - frustrated and disappointed yes but not out of control on Saturday night.

So that frustration of being on pins and needles out there, trying to run as hard as you can, watching positions slip by and things like that, all just keeps adding up."

Panther if Kyle Busch were to say this and Jimmy Johnson were to say this (as he did) do you honestly think they mean anything close to the same thing? That is the difference - it's even suggested in the words "almost lost the car a handful of times" - Kyle probably does this in the first 3 laps! Words mean different things coming from different people - Jimmy was far more under control than these words suggest.
