There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

ADE(freeware) is supposed to be excellent, however I have tried it before after having done a very complex AFCAD in AFX and it ruined it by stripping all the coding out of the original AFCAD. I won't do that again. AFX(payware) is what I use, despite comments to the contrary, it's an excellent program and similar enough to Lee Swordy's AFCAD program that I had no problems making the transition. Moving AFCADs through different programs is not a very good idea, so it would be best if whoever decides to do this (and the response is underwhelming thus far), they should also have AFX.:salute:Is there a program like AFCAD that I could use to do it? If so I'd be tempted to take a shot at it as I used to do it in FS9 all the time. An airport I always wanted to do in FSX was Williamsport in PA.
Thanks norab, I was aware of the Museum and static displays and I agree that the additional eye-candy would be great, however that requires some design skills that I don't have. The buildings I've placed are only a representation of what is actually there and done simply to make the airport look better than the default, which as you must know, looks pretty bland. This scenery livens it up and gives it more of the look of the actual airport, even without any custom buildings.:salute:sorry to chime in late, but I normally hang in the FS2004 forums. This is my local airport. If you wanted to add more eye candy and it's not too late. here is some info. The airport is also the home of the airvictory museum and they have a few birds outside full time and a concrete disk about 20 feet across outside with their crest on it.
Complete!
No, a bit deceiving because FSX places traffic on there that's never-ending, but it's actually just an access road to that side of the airport. It stops by those buildings.Ed, Is that truck in the foreground of Image 1 headed for a tunnel? The road seems to disappear before it crosses the runway.
