Legion Condor the 2013 version
I am trying to play the campaign Legion Condor and on mission one I find trees in the middle of the runway and later on the program is looking for csftower1 in the files later in the campaign the program has stopped because of problem. has anyone fixed this campaign and if so where can I find it and the missing files. Thanks
Help is needed
I can change to the 2005 or Achim's SCW Airfields. I am using the 2013 version of the campaign and it is not working but I can change to anything that will work. any help will be great.

I tried them and many of the campaign has trees in the middle of the runways. Getting around that the other campaign mission fly well until they encounter a aircraft shot down the the game stops and lockup. many misspelled aircraft in the missions and other problems. I guess i will just wait until someone correct them or makes a better one. Thanks for all the help I have got from other people in doing this project.

Why don't you try it yourself?? Maybe you'll learn a lot and help others further, like I did for you. Do you think that we helped flightsimming as far as it is today by sitting on our ass? Never give up, there are enough mission building programmes in the library.

Marty,
When flying Captain Kurts Campaigns you should use his airfields or the ones he is referring to.
I made airfields for an SCW Campaign to come, but these don't fit Captain Kurts missions and campaigns.
That is the answer to your problems.

I have to agree with Hertzie here. How I got my start in mission building stems from exactly the dilemma you are describing here. What I did was take existing ETO and MTO campaigns and retrofit them to use the newest aircraft and scenery. I loaded up the missions, and then moved the waypoints for takeoff and landing to use the new airfields, and then added vehicles, AA guns, and other items to liven up the scenery.
After getting comfortable and admittedly bored doing that, I progressed to actually writing original works. The SCW campaigns are in dire need of an overhaul/updrage, and this would be a great opportunity for you to do it. The best way to learn is by doing, even if you fall flat on your face a few times.

I have used Mission builder and tried to fix the Defence of the Republic and Legion Condor. They are great Campaigns and some of the missions run great. I enjoy the ones that run on my system. The others drive me crazy(not far to go). I have tried to limit the aircraft and change way points and change aircraft and many other things, but on some the games just ends, others the first time you fire at the aircraft, or if you kill a aircraft the game stops. If anyone has had a breakthrough please let me know. I love this load and want to play it through. With a little help from my friends we can get these campaigns running properly for every one. Thanks for your help and interest.

Sorry for the delay in response. I've been on the road traveling and have not had computer access.
I checked out both campaigns with new downloads and fresh installs and have not had the problems that you are describing. Every mission loaded fine. Since I can't recreate what you describe that tells me that there are probably some issues with your installation.
So let's work through it and see if we can't resolve the issues and get you flying.
BTW, You shouldn't use Mission Builder to try to fix anything because many of the SCW missions are hand edited. Opening in MB and saving will not save the edits and screws up the mission, just making things worse.
To start with, did you begin with a new CFS2 install? That will make sure you don't have scenery conflicts with some other scenery installations. The only way you would have trees on the runways is if you have some scenery conflict, and/or did not install the two airfield packages required for the campaigns - XavierB's (a download) and the three MR's (which are included). XavierB's GSL file must also be installed. An install per the directions should take care of the scenery problems.
The cfstower1 sounds like a stock CFS2 scenery object left over from the CFS1 game, but I'm not aware of using it. Which mission is asking for the object, so I can check it for you?
Also, if you can tell me which aircraft being shot down crashes a mission, I will troubleshoot them and see if I can recreate the problem to see what is causing it. It might be a dp or air file issue for the aircraft, but it is more likely a computer memory cache overload. I've had this happen before when there were too many EFFECTS fx files being called at once, and also when a contributor developed FX file was too extensive - (another reason for a fresh stock install). If that is the case, simply reducing the Effects quality slider and/or unchecking some of the detail boxes in the Display Setting page might fix the problem. But first we should test out the problem aircraft for you with the settings you are using. Which aircraft and what are your display settings? It's probably helpful to know how large your RAM memory is and what operating system you are running on. Mine is an old XP 3GHz with 3GB RAM so that is about as weak as it gets.

Spanish Civil war Campaign
Does anyone have the original Spanish civil War campaign, or know where it can be found? I was trying to load the newone on the web and I do not have the UIRES files to match the Country.cfg files. I loaded the aircraft and all the updates but it is still a no go. any help would be great. Thanks.

I got the campaign going now I need the Spanish Civil War vehicles it is call for a camion_fiat. was a campaign made for the Franko side of the war?
