I finally got it done! As promised there are two sets of gvr files. One includes the very best recordings I could cram into a gvr file. The problem with these is performance. They skip a lot of calls that should be played and they do not have the ability to make directional calls (...bearing 225 degrees). The second set is probably more realistic even though the quality of the recordings has been reduced (or because it has been reduced). I found that by keeping the quality of the recordings down CFS2 would use the calls with more often although it still skips some of them.
I really tried hard to put together the best set possible from a functional perspective but still fell short of my goal. If anybody has the time, download SplitGVR from Martin Wright's site, extract the higher quality recordings, then use a free audio editing program like Audacity to try and put together a set that sounds good and plays more often. Maybe this is as good as possible, but I'd like to see if someone can do better. I've been doing this a while now and think I've hit the ceiling when it comes to both quality and functionality.
Don't get me wrong. These do the job and really do give the sim a Spanish feel. Try them out and give me some feedback.
