Speaking of the Ruptured Duck...

You don't....

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy... Pappy Gunn's Commerce Killers are coming to town....

...mean the Apache Boys:karate: of the 345th do you? The forerunners of my Oscar B-26B Korean raiders? The nemesis of Japanese shipping? Oh, yeah, those guys...I think I heard of them. :ernae:

Can you imagine the destructive power of eight .50s firing API into an area of about 100 sq ft? You can easily hull small ships up to destroyer-size.

Long before the solid-nose J models, these C/D models with field-modified, forward-firing guns and painted-over plexiglass noses terrorized Japanese shipping and installations. They perfected skip-bombing.....Hey, didn't someone recently do a skip-bombing tool here in the basement? Could go great with the next version.

I don't...

As well as the 90th, 13th and 405th, etc BS's who proceeded them. :ernae:

...know if I can live with those paint jobs. A bit gaudy for a conservative bunch of Americans, don't you think? What would the Brits say? :faint:

I know, I know...nobody gives a damn! :caked:

Happy to report....

...that the new B-25 is indeed within 24 hours of being posted. She just awaits a little shine job on the final MDL.

She will come with THREE beautifully executed skins by Sopwith Chameleon.
(See glamour shots below)....a Doolittle early war, a desert mid-war and a Brit.

It's rumored that Dirty Gerty is being piloted by none other than Captain Yosarian himself. While the Brit model is equipped with a bone china tea service, in lieu of the simple coffee thermos.

:wiggle:

Need Input....

I really, really hate multi-texture aircraft folders because, while they save a lot of space in a download, they will eventually cause CTD problems when the aircraft is used in missions. BUT we already have such a folder prepared, and I am considering posting it with a strong warning to create separate folders for each aircraft.

My question is would you rather have the multi-texture/aircraft folder and separate it yourself, or a single aircraft folder and a couple of spare texture folders? :help:

Talk to me...

TR,

As a matter of course, I always separate the skins in multi-texture aircraft and modify the aircraft.cfg file for one plane per folder operation. Given that, it does not matter to me, but for new users of CFS 2, it might be nice to upload the base plane and then two texture packs with the proper aircraft.cfg files separately.

I'll second that motion. I always break up the Multi-Skin A/C. Matters not to me which way you ship her. I sort 'a like "some assembly required". LOL

Side Note:
It would be nice to have the Skin Template. Skins with no markings.
It will surely increase the number of repaints for her. Just think, 9+ years of everyones favorite B-25 skins are going to be redone for this new MDL.
The Template(s) should expedite the process.

I'm sure...

...that can be arranged. We have a long way to go with this one.

I'm already testing the 'Gunn' ship...Cheli's Medal of Honor D model..........but l don't want to get ahead of myself.....or Sopwith. Gotta get the first one posted.....but there's a shot below in an inappropriate skin.:engel016:

Pierre: Sacre' bleu, Blackhawk!
Blackhawk: Relax, Pierre. Have some more wine...perhaps a little cheese, a little bread. You need some rest. Shortly, we must once again face the Red Menace that continues to threaten America. Stanislaus, please order another case of 5.56 for the Daewoo K2s, as well as one of 7.62x39 for the AKs.

I'll be...

Roger That.

...a shot of Gunn's original prototype Margaret....before they painted over the nose glazing.

Bendix ventral turret removed, eight forward-firing .50s in the nose and sponsons, a .30 added in the tailcone...........yes, yes, this might just work.

3rd BG 90th BS #946. Flown by Lt. John "Seabiscut" Sbisa during the BoBS.:ernae:

And, an extra 600lbs of fuel to boot!

The standard...

...C/D will be uploaded by this evening. Certainly available for download by tomorrow.:jump:

The first gunship will be Cheli's Dragon in which he won the CMH. :amen:

Sopwith is kindly providing a template for aspiring arteests. :engel016:

...no idea whatsoever. You'll just have to try it for yourself. :ernae:
I'm a Republican and favor rugged individualism...:costumes::costumes:

SERIOUSLY, I suspect that with the light bombs and a reduced fuel load, you can probably get her up with some coaxing. IF NOT, you can add the CATAPULT feature to the aircraft....see MY STUFF AT SOH..and you can launch from any carrier. :engel016:

My Apology to Kelticheart!

I failed to credit the use of his wonderful prop texture from my Bf-110 in the new B-25.
