June 25th...National Catfish Day....I have always had a thing about catfish. When I was a kid and got my first fish tank, the very first fish I kept in it was a baby catfish from the minnow tank at the bait shop. Kept it until it was about 4 inches long then let it go in the creek. Everytime there was a baby catfish that came in with the bait minnows, George...the very tall, pear shaped owner of Bill's Bait Shop (Bill was George's Dad and the original owner of the place)...would save the baby catfish for me to take home to my little fish tank.
June 27th...National Sunglasses Day. I am the proud owner of at least a dozen pair of cheap sunglasses. The most expensive pair was $3.50....marked down from the original $15.00. Most of my sunglasses set me back a dollar a pair.
