Everyone has their two cents, just please state your reasoning so that this might be a discussion. Do you think that the Captainsim B-52 has been cancelled? My vote is on yes. I know these things take a while, but that preview has been up for a LONG time.

Of course, it's been up a long time.. but who's to say they've been working on just the B-52? I think from the other releases (727 vc etc), updates (757), and previews (ie 767) that they've probably just been tied up.

It happens! :monkies:

Speculation time!!!

I don't do that! It generally leads to heated debates....:173go1:

I seem to remember that their Herc was first posted as an up and coming project about 3-4 years before it arrived?

Maybe MilViz could fill the gap in the market?

Unless CS says that they are definitely NOT doing a B-52, we are not filling that hole.

Give the amount of planes that we have in production now, the sad state of affairs with A2A, plus the fact that we're just not all that interested in doing that one. We'd much rather do the Bone...

Nice that you thought of us though...

Who knows, maybe they don't want to make arcade planes anymore and realized that tubeliners sell better.

What's the point of having an airplane with 4 dummy engines anyway?

I voted no because there wasn't any "Stopped giving a stuff" option. It wouldn't have been fair to speculate about one but ignore the rest of the long list: AlphaSim C-17 and their Eurofighter, NLS' A380. Nemeth Bros' Puma, Eaglesoft's Citation X, DodoSim's Huey, Aerosoft's Huey and Antarctica X...

It goes on. So instead, I just don't care. They're out when they're out. If the general feedback is positive, I'll buy it. If it's free, I'll have two! :p

FSX doesn't support more than 4 engines in an airplane. And you can't make complex aircraft in which half of the enignes are dummy placeholders. :) That's why every aircraft that has more than 4 engines is arcade in FS. Which is pity, because I would love to see B-36, B-46 or B-52 at the level of A2A 377 or similar.

Theoretically it is possible to have more than 4 engines but you would have to make almost whole FM / engine management from scratch which is simply unprofitable.

If they say they'll do it, eventually I believe they'll do it. Remember back a few years? There was rampant speculation that their C130 was never going to happen, too, and once they were able to put it together it turned out rather well. It's not as if we're lacking for other quality add-ons to fly while we wait.

I certainly hope it's not been cancelled. We've all been waiting a long time to fill this hole in our FSX hangar.

What?!! did I miss that poll (seeing as you have included all of us, LOL)? :d (kidding)

Yep, no interest here, where is the choice for "neither"?

The model and screenshots I have seen of it looks FANTASTIC. It would be a shame not to see such a good model be used.

Yawn..... !

Why don't you just ASK them ??

What's wrong with A2A? Did I miss something?
Thanks!
