I'd be thrilled with that! This is my 500mb fibre connection, via 5G wifi (actually as smooth as silk - I can't complain but sometimes I still do):

Interesting, I'm running a direct LAN cable to the router using a Cat 5 cable I believe and it's probably 20 years old too!

Larry, if you have a 1 Gb fibre connection, have your modem/router replaced by the latest model and replace the cabling with Cat 6.

By definition, fibre connections should be symmetrical. Your upload is waaaaaay too low. And your jitter is way to high, indicating an unstable connection.

According to the information from our ISP webpage our plan provides downloads at 1,000 Mbps while uploads are 100 Mbps so I guess it's correct for our plan.

The cable is 20+ years old but the router was new when we switched to fibre 18 months ago.

When they came out to install the line from the pole to the house, there was none. They had to go back a block to another pole and
run the line to my pole. The installation was free, but two trucks and a crew had to come out to string the line.

They just ran the cables down my road last month.

They must be planning on putting hardware at this pole.
