the race track is about a 1/16th of a mile from my home and i can have my house all closed up and the AC on high and still here that bbbbRAPPP,,,,,,if youve neverbeen to a speedway short track its hard to explain...but its hard on the trottle for 4 laps...just wide open,,and off...and it lasts about 60 second perrace
this was built on the site of the old auburn fairgrounds stockcars track..it was a 1/4 mile dirt track...i cought the bug to drive race cars there

What are they riding these days?
Last round of the Speedway World Championship we made it too must have been at least 10 years ago and there was a mixed bag of upright ESO and JAP powered bikes along with the ESO 'Slopers' as they were called.
Mixed results as well, didn't seem any pattern to the wins, except I believe the 'Slopers' were better suited to the 1.5 mile Olympic Park track.
:applause:
