Spitfire Over Old Warden

SOH-CM-2025
The Shuttleworth's first flying event of the season is this weekend, so I thought I would take my favorite Spitfire out for a flight around the field and surrounding countryside.

John-

I agree completely- the RealAir Spit (and Turbine Duke, Lancair, Citabria Family etc.) were all in a league of their own.

When it came to transmitting flight feel through a PC, they were years ahead of their time. Rob & Sean have left us a legacy that has not been easy to surpass, despite the passing of a DECADE. Whilst technology has allowed the modeling of systems galore, when it comes to "feeling" pure flight, they still are amongst my very favorite a/c to push pixels in.

Best- Carl

I happen just to prefer the Mk.IX as my favorite variant of the Spitfire, and the RealAir model really looks the part. The flight dynamics are superb, and the aircraft has always performed very well in both FSX and now P3D. Also, the particular repaint seen in the shots is one of my all-time favorites - my usual go-to - done by Barry Vandenakker (Barvan40), who I unfortunately haven't seen around here in more than a year. I just love the combination of particular markings, colors, exhaust staining and general patina.
