spokes2112 doing the "Mac Reverse" in the PAD C414

Well, that was a full days work. Made it to Alexandria (HEAX) as the sun was setting. Started out in India as the sun was rising.

A hazy evening while crossing northern Egypt.

Gotta air this thing out. The AC system could barely keep up for just a semi-comfortable temp. It's getting a little ripe in there.

PLEASE,, OH PLEASE Mother Nature... Get a move on with that low pressure system over Turkey, send it east!!! The back side of that thing is going to be like flying into a brick wall. 60 - 80 knot winds forecasted for tomorrow, right into the nose. TY (Need 256 avg GS)

Well, Mother Nature did not show up. No matter the computed altitude :indecisiveness: it is just going to plain suck, all the way to England. Had a real good run until this point, just needed a 256 kt average to top the "Beach Boys" in the handicapped race..

"Not gunna do it"

Need to finish this up today as "Bambie Season" starts tomorrow. A full week of testosterone, a little :ernaehrung004: , playing cards, football & maybe, just maybe, step out into the woods for some fresh air. LOL

Off I go, departing Alexandria (HEAX) for Kastela (LDSP).

BRUTAL!!
Diverting to LIBG. It adds only 14nm more (including offset) to the original plan to EGUN & hopefully get me out of this mess much sooner. Will be able to run at full power & the run to Mildenhall "should" be much nicer.

If only I self medicated the brain cells w/ coffee
:guinness: sooner it would've been a moot point. :banghead::banghead:

CRM = Cockpit resource management.

No CRM w/ this pilot. Worried so much about the wind never looked at the AP nor Altimeter for the whole flight. Been flying along @ 18,800 instead of 17,800. Starting over and brewing another pot of coffee. Going to try a "right hook" and head towards LICA. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Now that's funny! Fitting too!

Made it to Terme (LICA), "weather" the right hook did any good is up to debate but a 35 knot headwind is a whole lot better than 60.

Leaving Alexandria for the second time was pretty nice.

All fueled up, ready to go for the last leg.. Winds will still be there although not nearly as bad, might even get a bit of help as I get into France/Belgium. Still, in any case, will have to lean it out in order to make it.

WELL DONE ROMAN!!! Man, you been flying nonstop, a very impressive run. I was with you on Google Earth view for the finish. Take some well deserved time off and enjoy some refreshments.
