    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

SSD = The Future

:jawdrop: Holy crap Marie, that "thing" is awesome. I want 2.... one for just a back up. :costumes:

The only thing that bothers me about that 2/1000 watt PSU "machine" is...... the electric bill at the end of the month. :faint:

Ways to offset the juice used by those 2 PSUs:

During the warm parts of the year, hang your under shorts out on the gutters to dry...no need to run the clothes dryer

Stop running the vacuum sweeper on the carpet....this will save more electricity and make your carpet last longer as it is not getting beat to death the the "beater" in the sweeper....and what ever color it started out as, it will turn a nice earthy brown in a few years...and brown goes with everything.

Send the kids out side to catch lightning bugs and keep them in jars. Who needs light bulbs when you have a few thousand lightning bugs. I grew up in a home that frequently had no electricity (and not due to storm related outages) and did my home work by the dim glow of lightning bugs. I graduated from the 8th grade when I was 17....so I was a year behind, big deal!

Fire up the out door grill...electric ranges use A LOT of juice....a couple bags of charcoal and you can feed the family BBQ Spam all week...and since Spam does not need fridgerated, you can unplug that appliance as well.

See, all will work out just fine..you just need to prioritize and make the family suffer a bit...be good for them actually. Kids these days have it too easy....heck, you can't even send your kids to the corners store to pick up a pack of smokes without someone accusing you of abusing your younguns.

My goodness.. They outdid Ickies computer!

Moe, lets see you build something that powerful!!!!

Well, wait.. That would be one heck of a powerbill. I imagine they would have to replace your power box meter every month as it will burn out the little rotating disc servo...

Goodness..... lol.. Loaded 48 programs in what, 12, 15 seconds?

<--- in awe

Thanks for the heads up on that video KD! Awesome...!

Makes me glad to have gone with Samsung SSD's for my build last year.

I just thought of a way to offset the power bill. Get those excersise bikes hooked up to handcranked generators and let the kids power it. Keeps em off the streets and very close to home. ;) Or go wind and solar. :d
