Ok Ian,to close the canopy:

1) pull the yellow lever back to unlock the canopy,than pull the lever forward to approximately half run (in vertical position,more or less,and hear the spring sound);

2) Pull down the canopy (use the round knob in the right inner frame of the canopy) until you hear the contact sound;

3) After lowering the canopy,complete the run of the yellow lock lever to it's complete forward run (and hear another sprooooinggg sound).

It's a little bit tricky but it corresponds to real one (I tried it personally on a real Hog).

Enjoy..;)

....And I think we will see early the next question: "how to operate flaps,it seems they not to work properly" ;)

I have tried the handle to lower the canopy using the lever and it still fails , flaps work fine , I tried to get a link to the pricing and method to pay as well , this also keeps bouncing back saying it dose not recognize the address .

EDIT : I'll go through your list for canopy close .. quiet a bit to it .. ill put your what to do on other PC and follow your instructions .

Ok Directly from the checklist included in the model docs:

CANOPY AUTO OPEN/CLOSE
In order to facilitate canopy open/close operation for those users that do not have TrackIr® a short-cut keyboard assignement has been implemented, user should assign a key to the FSX/P3D event "WATER RUDDER TOGGLE".
Note
The short cut works only if the canopy is fully open or fully closed and locked, while manual opening/closing using the mouse is available at every canopy position.
The short cut works only from inside the virtual cockpit, using the short cut from external view may fail.

Returned and moved the Yellow lever as per instruction .. and still no joy , it simply is locked in the open position .

Took me awhile to figure out the canopy close, but now that I have I really like it.

Ian, there's a click spot on the right side of the canopy itself that you use to pull/drag it down after pushing the yellow locking lever forward. Then aft with the lever to lock it.

Only flown own a little, but I am very impressed with this one!

cheers,
steve

The canopy action is really cool once you understand the operations.

Just made my purchase tonight before the opening of the "Euro's" trading bell for tomorrow.

Seems that all currency other than the ol' greenback takes flight during this time of year! :sorrow:

The EURO is climbing faster than SSW's F-104!

She sure is Purdy.

We had the RF version at our local Air National Guard unit along with C-124's and other stuff.

[SUP]Confused, how do you buy this to get out of demo mode? [/SUP]

If you go to the SSW website and register, you'll see the answer to your question in some detail.
It's very straightforward. I got both Zipper variants that way, so I know it works.
