SSW PA-200 "Tornado" is ready for the sky.

This Tonka I think will be the best airplane built for flight simulations, the avionics system like terrain following and navigation auto steering are the main parts of success of this product.
I hope the P3D version
The external model seems good a part for a little mistake in rear part of canopy that should be more thickness near the fus connection and the ejection seats that are too high
here marked in the picture

Maybe the developer could fix this minor errors on the p3d version?

Thanks Rockeye,surely we will check.
After the first release, there is a general check and minor bug fix,and before p3d releases we will flat all the mistakes and minor bugs also in FSX version.
So if there are problems, all the model versions are updated, not only the new ones.
Told this, the "ten pack" free package goes on.

Thanks Yoyo,

Regarding LGB you are correct at the time of GW1 but the GR1's after GW1 had the TIALD implemented "In 1991, the RAF introduced TIALD, allowing Tornado GR1s to laser-designate their own targets.[SUP][71][/SUP]"

I seem to remember there were two TIALD pods used in GW1, I think they were taken from the trials programme, and named Sandra and Tracy with appropriate artwork from the Viz cartoon strip.

Fantastic pictures Pluto.
Are your photo from FSX or Prepar?
I'm waiting to download your "ten pack". Any release date?

Please check also the ejection seats model that seems too higher than real aircraft.

Do you know if the ECR model will be develop in full avionics system like the MFD instead of the Map instrument typical of the IDS version?

Hi,all the pictures are taken from FSX,since is the version we are working on.
The ECR,like the GR1,are only external bonus models,in fact we are working on an IDS base (also for the IDS there would be some modern variants, like MLU / MLU2 for Italian Air Force and ASSTA / ASSTA3 for Germany, but for now we will stop to IDS "basic")
The Ten Pack liveries will be included in base FSX and P3Dx version on next releases.
Thanks for the ejection seat note,we will take a look.
Ciao

Ale, any words about flares too (BOZ)?
I didnt see it in manual (no shortkeys) but Tacpack offers it.

Pluto thank you and great job for your livery pack.
Could be a project in the future for full ECR cockpit development or you'll stop to IDS ?
Please check also the nose antenna because If your model is a basic IDS should be an IFF antenna only instead of double placed in front of the windscreen. The second antenna was installed on the first update of italian Tornado only. German IDS and UK GR1 have only one of it displaced on the left of centre.
Maybe you'll add this in the fix list.

Regards

Just for info. In the last time I receive strange and new kind of CTD of FSX (mostly on the exit of sim) with: libcef.dll (so no any known OOM or g3d.dll).
I never meet it before. I noticed that it exists only when I use the Tornado in long flight (+1h). Didn't find any news or solution for this in the Net and finally I found this libcef.dll, it is in the package of model (\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimSkunkWorks\WebSimBrowser\CEF4FSXP3DXP.39\32). Im not sure about the reason of this CTD and libcef.dll problem. I hope it will be solved in the future or maybe its only on my system? Don't know ;). I added this info on SSW support Forum but I wrote it here to ask the others (just remember only in long flight). Edit: as I see They working on it. Best regards!

+1 agree! Or/and MW-1. :wavey:

Any news about this? It will be difficult in multiplayer without active flares with TP.

Hi all,
Like a normal work path will suggest, before making any further feature,is useful to correct bugs, even if minor, test a stabile release (as I told before,we will move probably also with p3d 3.x other than fsx and p3d 2.5) then move to upgrades.
This is because any loadout you can see in a model,is included in the model, even if you decide to show it or not. The visibility tag shows you the load, but the load is like a luggage....Is always with you (i.e. your model).
In other words: the more you can choose, the more your model will grow. More poly, more faces, more workload for your CPU.
So,before any upgrade concerning loadout,we MUST be sure that there is no significant increase in weight (of workload for systems) and decrease in performance.
Surely a complete choice of loadouts will make the model more attractive, but who likes to fly like a slideshow?
Cheers,
Ale
