Hi all,
We have uploaded into our server 3 version of first beta release of virtual Air Combat Manuvering Installation, for FSX P3D 1.4 and P3D v2 (links are provided in our support forum)
We release upon request a limited number of activation keys in order to let our customer to try the vACMI.
Presently vACMI is limited to be used in offline mode but we are confident to release a full functional beta in two months or so.
Activation process is equal to that used for all our models, once a vACMI compliant model is loaded into the sim it generates a registration file ie: sswks.MM54260-QUAD.vACMI.ssw, F-104/AV-8B customers can send us this file to support@simskunkworks.com and we will send back activation key.
Differently from aircraft model vACMI does not have a trial time, without activation key it does not work.

But what is VACMI?
The virtual Air combat Maneuvering Installation (aka vACMI) is a tool that should help an
effective management of joint military air operations exercises in a FSX/P3D multiplayer on-line
environment and should enhance the exercise realism as well.
vACMI manages air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons with the aim to enhance the exercise realism
and to permit a post-exercise evaluation.
VACMI COMPONENTS
vACMI has a true server-client architecture, therefore is made of a vACMI server and generally
several vACMI clients eventually connected using TCP/IP protocol with the server; in addition there is a
vACMI observer that permit to remote control the server itself.
- The server is a stand alone executable that must be run into any lan/internet connected server, it
does not require to have the FSX/P3D server running on same machine and must be accessible by
clients. Server has a remote control interface (vACMI observer) that can be used to manage the
server as well.
- The client side is a composed of a dll module called by each client aircraft mode, a trafic module
and a vACMI interface gauge-like.
VACMI MODES OF OPERATIONS
vACMI can be operated either in off-line and on-line mode:
- ON-LINE mode: this mode is used on a multiplayer environment
- OFF-LINE mode: this mode is used on a single player environment, the offline mode can be used
also in a multiplayer envirornment with some limitations.
PROTOTYPE LIMITATIONS
- Presently the prototype can operate only in off-line both in single and multi player environment.
- Presently it manages following weapons:
o AIM9 B/L short range air to air missile
o KORMORAN medium range anti ship missile
o GBU-12 Paveway laser guided bomb (SSW Harrier only)
o All GP bombs: MK82/MK83/MK84/B61 mock-up
o Under development: A/G Rockets and gun.
So for example,talking about offline and single player mode, you can carry an AIM9,lock an AI target,launch the missle,and if the target is inside the weapon envelope,you hit the target and the AI traffic disappears from your screen.
If you have an AI ship you can lock and launch a Kormoran,or make a perfect hit using GBU12 lgb bomb.
The program is now a free beta,and all our costomers that are interested can install and try it for free,after the key validation process.
